Course Description: This two-day, hands-on training program is intended to teach security analysts to assess the security of web-based applications. The course introduces the use of automated web application attack tools and examines both their strengths and their weaknesses. The course also covers manual attacks against applications and the use of tools such as web proxies used to launch such attacks. In addition, the course outlines a structured methodology for web application assessment that helps participants get repeatable results when assessing the security of applications. Topics such as threat modeling, attack list maintenance and results collections and reporting are included so that participants who complete the course can be in a position to assess applications within a professional development environment.
