Denim Group Donates Sprajax to OWASP

By donating Sprajax to the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP), Denim Group intends to generate more discussion around security vulnerabilities within AJAX applications and to make the application more visible within the application security community.

Denim Group developed and released the automated security scanning tool for AJAX-enabled .NET and Java web applications this May. Since its release via the Denim Group website in May this year, there have been over 2,500 downloads of the application and numerous online discussion threads.

Sprajax is available for immediate download from the OWASP website at www.owasp.org/index.php/Sprajax.

Do you have to compromise the security of your application to be agile during the development process?

While Agile software development methodologies have made the development process more responsive to customer demands and increased quality, these bottom-up practices here conflict with the traditional top-down nature of implementing security.

Dan Cornell will open a discussion on the possibility of an agile and secure development process at OWASP AppSec Seattle 2006.
