I am finishing up rewriting our corporate home page in ASP.NET 2.0 and I would like to take a second to give some consideration to the new navigation controls built into Visual Studio 2005 and version 2.0 of the .NET Framework. I am an ASP.NET novice, at best. I do have experience with Visual Studio and ASP.NET 1.1. I can also Google with the best of them. Given these limited capabilities, I was able to install and configure the menu control to behave like a custom control we built in the first version of our site. All it took was dragging the control onto the web page, configuring the control behavior and setting some CSS. Oh yeah, I know a little CSS, too.
Did I mention the Master Pages are cool, too? More on that later.
